Ethiopia and the Czech Republic have engaged in high-level bilateral discussions focusing on strengthening cooperation in the agriculture sector, Thursday, 23 April 2026.

H.E. Sofia Kassa (PhD), State Minister of Agriculture of Ethiopia, briefed the Czech delegation on Ethiopiaโ€™s agricultural landscape, highlighting opportunities for collaboration and the nationโ€™s priorities in modernizing its farming systems. She emphasized the importance of partnerships that can enhance productivity, technology transfer, and sustainable practices.

H.E. Radek Rubeลก, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, expressed his governmentโ€™s interest in investing in Ethiopiaโ€™s agriculture sector. He noted that the Czech Republic is keen to establish agricultural machinery assembly operations in Ethiopia and explore further investment opportunities in related areas.

Both sides underscored the potential for deeper bilateral cooperation to boost agricultural development and strengthen ties between the two nations.
